"Lisa, you were exactly what I needed. I was recommended to your challenge by Coach Jasmine Bailey from the Detox Now Program for Fibroid Elimination. So, I am dealing with naturally shrinking Fibroids and my blood pressure has also been an issue. Ever so often I would do a raw diet because I had noticed that my blood pressure would be phenomenal, but as soon as I returned to cooked food, it went crazy. I always suspected that oil was the culprit but never the salt. I only added a little salt to my food, but then you pointed out the effects of additional salt in manufactured food. It was the same with sugar. I was a maple syrup believer and didn't pay attention to the additional sugars. I also thought that using grapeseed oil was better when, in fact, now I know, no oil is good.
The first result that I experienced with this challenge was the immediate lowering of my blood pressure. I am beyond happy about this and I don't want to revert to those terrible numbers. Secondly, I lost some weight. I started off at 145 pounds and I am now at 136. Though weight isn't an issue I also noticed that once I returned to cooked food from my raw diets, I gained weight even though I wasn't eating much. However, with the challenge, I was able to eat enough and nourish my body properly. Finally, with the Fibroids I can see that my stomach has reduced a little. I understand that I will need to continue this treatment because what I have been struggling with for 20 years can't be eliminated within 30 days. I am certain that in the near future I will see these results also. A bonus that I received from the challenge was how to deal with stress and the importance of eliminating the stressors that contribute to this. Thank you for all your teaching. You have boosted my self-confidence."

"Taking the challenge helped me to realize it is NOT necessary to cook with salt & oil. I knew I was using too much of both but didn’t have alternatives. I had to decide whether I wanted to live a healthy life or take the risk of having health challenges. I learned to make a conscious effort to heal from traumatic experiences so I can be my BEST self. I’m learning how to deal with conflict differently. I’m including self care practices, prayer, and journaling into my schedule. I’m enjoying evening walks since my pain is gone. "During the challenge, I lost 12 pounds and gained mental clarity. I also rediscovered how delicious fruits can be. While I’ve always enjoyed a good salad, I never really sought out fruits until this challenge. This experience reminded me of how important whole foods are and how important it is to read the nutrition label. I wasn’t consistently reading it before purchase. "One of the Plant Protocol challenge rules of engagement is to spend time with people that you love. I have 5 college girlfriends that have named ourselves the B6 crew ( B comes from the first letter of our freshman dorm at Syracuse University) and we communicate EVERYDAY, via text. Yesterday we had a long overdue face to face meeting, so we had a Zoom meeting for close to 3 hours. What a way to decompress and get some much needed girl talk in. So thanks to my B6 crew that’s in this challenge with me"

"After listening to the live today, something Coach Lisa said really resonated with me: Whatever you do to reach your goal, you have to continue doing. That may not be her exact words, but what she said was such a simple yet powerful reminder that sustainability is the key. I’ve heard it so many times before, but today it hit differently. It’s important to choose exercises, meals, and routines that I genuinely enjoy because sustainability thrives on joy, not restriction. My journey with food has always been about restriction. Admitting that I enjoy food has felt taboo and showing it, something I’ve avoided altogether. But today, I realized that to truly sustain my journey, I should not ignore the pleasure of food. I just need to ensure I’m not medicating my feelings with food or any other pleasures."
